- DBS Checks for the COVID-19 Vaccination Workforce: Reduced Fee Fast-track COVID-19 DBS Checks can be used COVID Vaccinators and related roles, which require Enhanced DBS checks. Click here for NHS Guidance
- Easier ID Checks, Without Face-To-Face Contact, Remain In Place
- Scanned images or video link may be used to view original versions of the identity documents in advance of the DBS check being submitted (originals must be presented on the first day of employment).
- In recognition that there are delays in issuing UK Passports, Expired UK Passports that are within 6 months of their expiry date can be accepted as if they were current. Note: this does not apply to non-UK Passports
November 2020:
- Covid-19 Testers are eligible for Standard level DBS checks only. According to the The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 (Regulated Activities) (Coronavirus) Order 2020, removing saliva or mucus for the purpose of testing for coronavirus is not to be treated as a regulated activity and so is not eligible for an Enhanced level DBS check.

We want to reassure customers of the action we are taking in response to Covid-19.
With the recent and ever-changing news about the Coronavirus in the UK, we understand you may be concerned about the services we provide.
With this in mind, we wanted to reach out and reassure you that we are putting in place a number of robust measures designed to make health and safety a top priority while still providing a secure, quick and efficient service to our customers.
Mayflower has arranged for all of its staff to work from their home. This will not affect the delivery of our services. It is business as usual.
We're working very closely with the DBS and our other partners.

**19th March 2020**: DBS ID Checking Change
The DBS have introduced temporary changes to the DBS ID Checking procedure whereby ID Checkers can use scanned copies of ID to verify applicant's details.
You do NOT need to see the original ID documents.
